They say ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ and I truly believe this about glass. Even if you’re not a lover of stained glass, the workmanship, the colours and stained glass paintings come into their own as soon as light pours through the panel or simply lands on a mouth blown bowl. It doesn’t matter how old the glass is, whether it’s in churches, in public buildings or in someone’s home – sunlight pouring through the glass can be visually stunning and incredibly uplifting.
At Baroque Glass we don’t take glass for granted. It’s heart warming to come into the ‘Centre’ on a cold but sunny winter day to see rainbows of colour streaming through and dancing around on the walls and floor rather like a child’s idea of a fairy. I know that probably sounds very far fetched and rather flowery, but glass can be mind blowingly stunning, (especially the mouth blown flat glasses) and will help to lighten the spirit on many a dull day..
