Glass Mosaics
What can I say about this method? Almost everyone has seen at least one mosaic panel during their lifetime whether it’s a ceramic panel or glass panel.
Glass mosaics is a fun medium. Mosaics can be fused or simply glued on to a sheet of clear glass adding another dimension to the glass artists’ work.
Unlike fused mosaic glass, mosaics which are glued on also need to be grouted in order to fill in the areas between the coloured glass. A glass picture or window panel can easily be created using bits of broken glass or by cutting glass into small squares.
Appliqued glass can be made using similar techniques but you make up your picture by cutting or breaking small bits of glass to a specified design or a combination of both.
